In the early 90’s, the West Texas Disc Twisters began to develop what would become Abilene’s first disc golf course. The first targets were “tone poles” and eventually those were replaced with pole holes. Concrete tee pads were added in 2002. Tee signs were added in 2009.
The course is flat and mostly open with a winding park round that comes into play on several holes. There is also a creek on the west side of the course that comes into play on 3 holes. There are restrooms, a pavilion, a playground, a practice basket, a course over-view sign, information sign, tee signs on each hole, and score cards in a mail box next to Hole #1.
