Scarbourough Park DG course

  Hi all dgers,

I would like to propose a plan for your consideration.  A plan to have an in ground dg course at Scourbourough Park in time for the Wild Hair! It goes something like this.  18 baskets at 350 ea.= $6,300, 18 tee pads at let's say $1,500, signage at $1,800. Total being  $9,600, it's just an est.  You guys in the know please correct me and put down actual numbers if you respond to this message.  If 10 guys would put down a thousand each ,that would be $10,000!  Hey! we're there!  I can hear the readers gasping right now.  I was just trying to get your attention.  Now this next plan is reachable.  How about 100 players pledging $100 in a six mo. period?  We could do it by having a 4th sat. tourney each month at $15.   100 guys paying $15 entry fee for six Sat tourneys would be $9,000.  Brandon said it would take some physcial labor to clear out some paths for a few holes but that he was willing. One would say how about Cal Younge West?  Well, as of right now I hear that it would be about 2 or 3 yrs.or maybe more away.  I don't know what the Rotoary club is doing or has done up to this point.    All I'm trying to do is get an idea going. Where? , nowhere probably, but, if you have a comment then I've  accomplished something.  That being to get more people involved in this web site.  I'm also doing this because I heard quite a few comments about how  they wished this was a premanent course.  If enough people were willing to help with the physcial part also then I believe this could happen.  The first step is always the hardest.  I'd like to hear quite a few comments on this or not.  Here's an example on holes.  Hole # 5 could be a true dogleg left.  275ft. to where the basket was and left another 75 or so ft into the jungle.  Everyone liked #3 & #8.  If  you didn't want to get to involved in clearing too much brush, 5 or 6 holes into the jungle might not be to bad.  Anyhow just a few thoughts.   I would pledge not one but two places or $200 in six months.  What do you think ADGA golfers?
